Spread the Magic.;
9:11:00 PM
As I stood at the roadside, waiting for that usual bus to pick me up to my destination, I was just in my plain t-shirt, shorts, and my sneakers, with my messy hair undone. I am easily hidden in this city, where city dwellers were buzzing around and tonnes of teenagers my age were shouting at the top of their voices, as if the cars weren't making enough noises.
But I wasn't part of the city. I was indulging in my own world. My magical world full of illusions. In my hands lie an army of 52 cards, and with the skillful play of my nimble yet powerful fingers, this very army comes to life. My fingers and this deck of poker cards had formed this chemistry and synchronization that together, they create a fantastic piece of choreography. This unbreakable bond had also created illusions and what seemed magic to countless spectators, leaving them smiling, and at some cases, clapping. In my hands, this pack of playing cards showcased a certain level of grace, skill and effect. With every cut, every riffle, every shuffle and every revelation of cards had proved that this is a formidable yet versatile weapon to demonstrate to any spectator, be it on the streets, parties or even gatherings.
In card magic, what I aim for is to achieve what seemed impossible to do just by looking at it, and melt the boundaries between what is possible and what's not. I'll enter the impossibility someday. Conjuring cards from thin airs, make cards change in a snap, produce cards at impossible places and making cards morph into another are some of the tricks that I could easily achieve and commonly do, and card magic is just about that.
On the streets, as I am taking a pack of playing cards out of its case, numerous pairs of eyes would be appreciating. Children screaming " MUMMY , WATCH THIS KORKOR DO MAGIC ! " and making adults feel amazed like they were a child. I love this attention, this joy of entertaining. This passion flows through my veins, this joy lives within me. Step by step, I am entering gradually into the global stage, where that spotlight was previously on famous magicians like Houdini, David Copperfield, David Blaine, and even Liu Qian. Someday, I shall fulfill that dream.
Hmm, my bus has arrived to pick me up to my next destination. My next place to spread the magic. I believe I can.

Spread the Magic.;
9:26:00 PM
Praise God. He was the one who went ahead of me to straighten and direct my path.
Every failure, every successful trick, every applause, every ups and downs,
Lord, you have been there.
Even when I have done a trick successfully and hear the applause, I could see You smiling and saying " Good job. "
From the first trick till now, You have been blessing me bountifully and made my path so straight and easy. Even till now, I am working as a magician at science centre and almost entering the IBM (International Brotherhood of Magicians) as the youngest member, and with the very high chance that I would be a professional magician after just a few years, it almost seemed like You made it this way.
Lord, if it'll be this way, I thank you so so much. Thank you for answering my prayers.
If I, in Your will, ever become a magician with Yikiat in the near future, I would definitely glorify Your name with my hands. Thank you Jesus.

A little blog post for all magicians out there.;
1:19:00 PM
The following blog post is an excerpt from the book
Royal Road to Card Magic. Modern magic is a most entrancing pursuit, whether followed as a vocation or a hobby. One need only attend a national convention of the Society of Ameriacan Magicians or the International Brotherhood of Magicians to learn that conjuring is an art to which its devotees, both amatuer and professional, apply themselves with rare enthusiasm. In return for their expenditure of time and efforts, they reap the apparently ample reward of being able to entertain thei friends, their business associates, or the general public by catching coins in the air, causing chosen cards to rise solemnly from the pack, reading the minds of spectators, and engaging in other harmless bits of deception. It should be added that the satisfaction experienced by the magician in baffling his audience seems to be matched of that the spectators; for in conjuring that is frankly nothing more than entertainment,
"Doubtless the pleasure is as great,
Of being cheated as to cheat."
as a seventeenth century poet once said.
There are many branches of magic, but none likely to be more rewarding to the amatuer - for whom primarily the present book was written - than magic with cards. Card tricks may, in general, be performed wherever and whenever the card conjurer, an audience, and a pak of cards come together. Card tricks are, in many instances, utterly dumbfounding to the uninitiated; and they give the impression of demanding great skill on the part of the magician.
Many years ago, David Devant, the great English conjurer, was approached by an acquaintance new to sleight-of-hand with cards. "Mr. Devant," said this young man, "I know about three hundred tricks with cards. How many do you know ?" Devant glanced at the youth quizzically. "I should say," the magician responded drily, "that I know about eight."
Devant was making a point with which all professional magicians are familiar. To perform card tricks entertainingly you must not only know how the tricks are done,
but how to do them. There is a vast difference between the two, and if proof were needed, one need only watch the same feat performed performed by a novice and by an expert card conjurer. The novice knows the mechanics of so many tricks that he cannot do any one feat really well; the professional performs a smaller number of tricks which he knows how to present in such a way as to create the greatest possible impression upon those who watch.
We cannot emphasize too strongly that knowing the secret of the trick is not the same as knowing how to perform the trick; and that knowing the secret of hundreds of tricks is of little value unless each can be performed smoothly and entertainingly. It is far better to know only a few tricks which can be performed with grace, skill and effect.
