Yogesh, this is for you, for the memories we had together, be it good or bad times.
I hope you see this before you leave Singapore.
I could still remember you as my friend during the first few days, when we were still 13.
You were just another friend to me as I have no lack.
However, we hanged out so often, we spend longer times than anyone in this school.
We played basketball together.
We played soccer together.
We studied together.
We watch movies together. Countless movies.
We make jokes together.
We played with fire together in your house.
We stayed over at Rooban's house together.
Talked the whole night through.
We eat and sleep together.
Went through camp together.
You helped me conquer my fear of heights at the high elements.
You encouraged me when I am afraid or down.
You cheered with me whenever I am happy.
When you are sad, you would come to me.
We laughed together.
We cried together.
I hope you remember all this, Yogesh.
These will be the sweetest memories I would ever have in my life.
I hope I am your best friend too, and that these memories would stay with you also.
The trust and the care and the love we've built in three years.
I know the only regret you have in this school is that you cannot join the school basketball team.
And so, I promised you a #7 jersey next year. With your favourite number.
From Bukit Batok Secondary School.
Be proud and make sure you'll wear it when you go to India.
Meanwhile, I'll give you one of my #12 jersey.
For memory's sake. Just to make sure you'll remember me.
I know you may not be as sad as me, but that is how much you meant to me.
More than a friend, you're my bestest friend, and a BROTHER.
I never knew I could have a brother like you, but God arranged it.
We were so close, I took you for granted. I thought you will always be there.
But this had struck me hard.
So hard that I had understand how to cherish a friend.
I HAD NEVER UNDERSTAND WHAT A FRIEND WAS,
BUT YOU HAD ADDED A WHOLE NEW MEANING TO THE WORD " FRIEND "
Forever in my heart, Rooban, Yogesh and Alan will always be the " Three Musketeers ".
Keep us in your heart, Yogesh, don't you ever dare to forget me and Rooban.
Bon Voyage, Yogesh,
Amigos Para Siempre, till we meet again.
